One of the best known of those who distorted HPB & her gurus' teachings was Alice Bailey. Here is short article giving some key differences between the lineage of Leadbeater, Besant, Bailey, Hodgson et al and original Theosophy.

oh Alice Bailey is not one of my favorites, she is one of the reasons for the split.
